Our family has entrusted this cemetery with three burials since 2024—both of my grandparents and, most recently, my mother. The funeral services and burial process were handled with care, and for that I am grateful. Unfortunately, our experience with purchasing my mother's headstone has been incredibly disappointing. We purchased and paid over $4,000 for her granite & copper headstone in July 2025 and were told the installation would take approximately three months. That timeline came and went with no headstone and very little communication. Over the following months, we made numerous phone calls, only to be met with repeated excuses and delays regarding why the headstone had still not been installed. By the end of 2025, there was still nothing on my mother's grave. In March 2026, after escalating our concerns to someone who was finally able to assist, a temporary marker was placed on her grave, and we were assured that the work order for the granite headstone had been submitted and would be completed. Today, in July 2026—one full year after purchasing the headstone and after the one-year anniversary of my mother's passing—the temporary marker is still in place. The permanent headstone we paid for has yet to be installed. While I appreciate the professionalism shown during the funeral services themselves, the lack of follow-through, communication, and accountability regarding such an important purchase has been deeply upsetting. It is not just a headstone to us, it is a memorial set to her, a place we can sit with the grief. No family should have to spend a year repeatedly calling and advocating for something they have already paid for. Based on our experience, I would recommend using an outside monument company for headstones or considering a different funeral home altogether if this is an important part of your decision.
